MCAT Expert Wanted for Mobile Learning Partnership

Are you an impressive MCAT tutor who can write and also has an interest in education technology? Could you create MCAT content for a web-mobile learning platform? If so, Brainscape (www.brain-scape.com) wants a partner: a no-nonsense, tech-friendly MCAT expert.

Brainscape is a web/mobile platform whose mission is no less than to optimize learning. We will eventually map / chop all educational subjects into bite-sized chunks, but today’s focus is MCAT. Our software uses a smart algorithm to present concepts in exactly the pattern that the brain needs for maximum retention. We already have over 250,000 users (growing quickly). As Brainscape’s MCAT expert, you’d be working with smart, experienced education technology folks to develop and launch a series of web-mobile learning applications for MCAT science--and perhaps more. And you’d share in the results ($$, accolades, and thanks from our customers).

Our ideal candidate will be available to work on this part-time for the next 2-3 months to finish and launch the MCAT apps. We can throw you some $$ in the short-term, but we really want someone who is excited to earn royalties for many years and would love the experience of contributing to a unique web-mobile learning experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perfect (some editing, some authoring) a series of flashcards for MCAT Science subjects including Chemistry, Biology, Organic Chemistry, and Physics
  • Use Brainscape’s online authoring tools to do this authoring and editing
  • Possess the skills to find and incorporate digital images into your instructional content
  • Polish the content by testing it through both our online and iPhone study interfaces
  • Help us consider improvements to both our MCAT prep and Brainscape overall

Minimum Qualifications

  • Impressive personal science education credentials & track record delivering MCAT prep;
  • Meticulous attention to detail; superior oral and written communication skills

Qualifications that will Set You Apart

  • Experience in developing or authoring digital content and with tools used therein
  • Evidence that you can roll up your sleeves to in working with us to get these apps out!
