What is Race?
Based on specific physical characteristics.
eg skin colour, hair texture
What is a subculture?
A large group of people within a larger group but have own characteristics not common to the majority
What is cultural assimilation?
When minority group becomes more like dominant culture eg loss of values, beliefs
What is cultural imposition?
believing everyone should conform to ones own beliefs
What is stereotyping?
assuming everyone of one race/class etc look or act the same
