KLM Flight Safety and Security Briefing.
Assessing the security risks to the KLM operation.
Risk levels within KFSSB
RED - high risk (airspace not used)
AMBER - medium risk (entering shall not be planned - may be used for contingency / emergency use)
YELLOW (with altitude) - medium risk (normal operation above this altitude. In area for contingency / emergency use only)
NO COLOUR - low risk.
Risk levels 10.1.2.3
Airspace: red, amber, yellow, no
Airports: red and yellow.
Risk levels will be mentioned in Company NOTAM and/or OMC
Yellow airport 10.1.2.3
Medium risk: not used as destination or commercial alternate.
Can be planned as any other type of alternate during flight execution.

Info in the company NOTAM always overrules the information on the charts.

- ensure ATC communication
- threat: surface weapons: minimize exterior lights
- unknown threat: consider additional lighting and WX radar
- monitor guard frequency
- workload permitting; inform flight dispatch ASAP.
