Dissemination: Intelligence is delivered to the customer

Commander’s Critical Information Requirement – Identified by the commander as information critical to decision making process. Two key subcomponents: EEFI, PIR
Priority Intelligence Requirement – Identfied by commander to understand adversary and operational environment. Further broken down into Essential Elements of Information (EEI)
Explain Intelligence Oversight
Involves a balancing of two fundamental interests: obtaining intelligence information required to protect national security and protecting individual rights guaranteed by the Constitution and the laws of the United States
Define the difference between a US citizen and US person with regards to US Intelligence Oversight
US citizen refers to an actual citizen of the US while US person is much broader including permanent resident alien, unincorporated association composed of US citizens or permanent resident aliens, or a corporation incorporated in the US unless controlled or directed by a foreign government
Explain why Intelligence Oversight was established.
