Software Options
21
* It is an online 3D modeling program that enables users to design simple and complex objects and builds electronic circuits and coding blocks. * You can design, modify, and print 3D objects, and experiment with electronic circuits while learning coding skills. * It is a great 3D design software for children to improve their STEM skills.
TINKERCAD
21
While professional equipment can enhance your results, you can start with a simple smartphone or entry-level camera.
Essential Gear:
21
- is solid rather than flat, because it can be measured in three different directions, usually the height, length, and width.
Three Dimensional object
22
- it is the use of computer-based software to aid in design processes. It can also use to create 2D drawings or 3D models.
CAD (computer-aided design)
23
are shapes with two dimensions, such as width and height.
2D shapes
24
● Squares, Circles, Triangles, and Rectangles: These are the fundamental building blocks for 2D designs. They are available in the "Shapes" panel and can be used as is or modified by resizing, rotating, or aligning.
Basic Shapes
24
You can create multi-sided shapes, useful for creating 2D geometric patterns.
Polygon:
24
that lets you create custom 2D or 3D text. You can adjust the font, size, and alignment, and then convert the text into a 2D or 3D shape. This tool is particularly useful for adding labels or branding to your designs.
Text Tool
24
the Shape Generator allows you to customize and modify existing shapes. You can adjust parameters like sides or height, which may be helpful for creating 2D-style designs.
25
isn't specifically for creating 2D shapes, but it helps you precisely position and measure your 2D objects within the workspace. You can set the ruler to specific units and use it to align shapes accurately.
The Ruler tool
26
helps you align 2D shapes perfectly along the X, Y, and Z axes. While this tool is primarily used for 3D objects, it's also very useful when you're working in a 2D plane for precise positioning.
The Align Tool
27
❖ Select multiple objects and click the group tool to create a group. This merges the objects into a single object. ❖ The top three objects on the are ungrouped. ❖ The bottom is a single object created by grouping the 3 objects. ❖ Grouping works in layers. This can be helpful in extending the value of the ALIGN and MIRROR tools.
Group and Ungroup
27
► Select multiple objects and then click the align tool for alignment options (see slide on moving objects) ► To flip or create a mirror image of an object. Select an object(s) and then click on the flip/mirror tool. Click on the double headed arrow to flip along that line. ► The purple object below was duplicate and then flipped along the right/left line to create a mirror image.
