Histology

A

Clinical: Autosomal dominant, greasy papules on head and neck

Histology:

  1. Acanthosis
  2. suprabasilar acantholytic dyskeratosis with corp ronds (dyskeratotic cells)
  3. grains (parakeratotic cells)

Transient acantholytic dermatosis (grovers)

A

Trunk of older males, itchy

3 patterns:

  1. Spongiotic
  2. PV-like suprabasilar acantholysis
  3. Hailey-Hailey like full thickness acantholysis

DDX:

  1. PV
  2. HHD (need history)
  3. Focal acantholytic dyskeratosis (incidental or associated with underlying lesion)
