LOOK - down the line of the pts chest and observe movement
LISTEN - place one ear over pts mouth and nose - listen for breath sounds
FEEL - simultaeneously feel for expired air

Describe the head tilt and chin lift technique
A
further relief of the obstruction ma be provided b supporting the chin. this can be achieved by placing your fingertips under the point of the patients chin and lifting the chin forward

Describe the jaw thrust technique for improving a pts airway
A
lifting the mandible upwards and forwards by placing the index fingers behind the angle of the mandible.
