The theory of forms suggests that abstract, perfect forms or ideals exist beyond our physical world, representing the true essence of all things we encounter, which are merely imperfect copies of these forms.
For example, in this realm, there is a version of a chair that is the 'ideal' or 'perfect' version, that the physical world attempts to copy and imitate

Cave Analogy
Plato's cave analogy illustrates how people can be trapped in a world of illusions, only seeing shadows of reality projected on a wall, representing ignorance. When one prisoner escapes and discovers the true world outside the cave, he realizes the deeper truths of existence and the importance of education and enlightenment in understanding reality.

Phaedo is a dialogue by Plato that recounts the final hours of Socrates before his execution, focusing on his discussions about the immortality of the soul and the nature of the afterlife. the helmsman of Aeneas's ship, but fell asleep one night and fell into the water
Now dead palinursu explains to Aeneas that he didn't drown immediately and was alive for 3 days
On the 4th day, he saw land and swam to shore but natives killed him as he went on shore
Palinurus explains his body is still there unburied
Without proper burial rights, he can't board the boat ould cross after 100 years of waiting

The Story of Er
Er was a soldier who got badly wounded in a battle, so badly that he was thought to be dead and left on the field- When he recovered he said he was not just unconscious but had a vision of the afterlife when he was ‘dead’ and detailed the 'afterlife'.The virtuous souls arise towards the heavens on the right, while evil souls descend to the left, while evil souls are met by wild men of fire aspect, who drag them away flaying them with whips and thorns. On the 12th day the souls are reincarnated
