Approaches- Biological Flashcards

1
Q

What are the 3 key assumptions of the biological approach?

A
  1. The genes of an individual influence his or her behaviour.
  2. the brain is seen as the main focus when explaining behaviour.
  3. The chemistry of the body impacts behaviour (The levels of neurotransmitters and hormones)

Q

What is evolution?

A

There are a range of genes in any population, some will increase chance of survival, then natural selection will mean the ‘best’ will survive, THSES INDIVIDUALS CAN BREED AND PASS ON GENES.
