  1. Welche Märchen kennst du? Was ist dein Lieblingsmärchen?

A

fairy tales

Answer the following questions!

  1. Who used to read you fairy tales?
    On what occasion?

I think my grandpa. I don’t have a clear memory of someone reading books to me, but I do remember getting them and reading them myself before going to bed.
It was an important time for me.

  1. Which fairy tales do you know? What is your favorite fairy tale?

I love children’s books, but maybe more the modern versions. We read a lot with our child and I guess our library has 1000+ books in English or more.
I’m not a big fan of folk tales. I found them difficult to explain to children with a lot of reminiscences or cultural influences. Or maybe easy to misinterpret.

3- Which main and supporting characters do you find admirable? Why?

I love characters who are curious, brave and resilient.

13
Q

Perspektivwechsel

Meine Enkelin sollte mir etwas Essen bringen.

A

Change of perspective

■ Tell a well-known fairy tale from the perspective of one of the supporting characters.
Do not tell your counterpart which fairy tale it is.
He / she has to guess.

One day I was very sick.
My granddaughter should bring me some food.
But it came and it didn’t come.
Instead, the big bad wolf stood in front of my door.

** Wolf:

One day, as always, I was walking in the woods looking for a snack.

I saw this delicious red girl and since she looked funny too, I decided to have a chat before eating her.

Innocent and naive girl! She told me everything!

She also wanted to bring delicious food to her sick grandma.

I taught that 3 snakes are better than 1!

I am always the most beautiful woman in the kingdom.
I use my magic mirror every day to confirm it.
One goddamn day I discover my stepdaughter is the most beautiful!
This is unacceptable!
I will get rid of them.
With an apple that looks healthy but will kill you.

14
Q

A

the poem

A poem usually rhymes and tells something in a very poetic way.

15
Q

A

the stylistic device

Poems and many other types of text use many stylistic devices, for example metaphors or alliterations.

16
Q

Stilmittel

A

Stylistic devices

the metaphor
The visualization of language through the transfer of meaning, for example: treetop, bottleneck, queue, is called a metaphor.

the personification
In personification, something that is not human takes on human characteristics.
For example: the sun is laughing!

the alliteration
If consecutive words begin with the same sound, it is an alliteration.
For example: Milk perks up tired men.

the rhetorical question:
You already know the answer to a rhetorical question.
It is used to get the reader’s attention.

the rhyme:
Poems typically contain rhymes, for example:
The mouse goes home ‘and takes off her shoes.

the comparison:
As the name suggests, when you compare, the properties of two things are compared.
For example: he’s strong as a bear.

17
Q

weitere Stilmittel

A

further stylistic devices

the symbol:
The heart stands for love:
A symbol represents something abstract from a concrete object.

the ellipse:
In the case of the ellipse, parts of the sentence are left out and left to the interpretation of the reader:
I eat apples, you pears. Or: I apples, you pears.

the hyperbola:
I’ve told you a hundred times not to talk to the big bad wolf!
is a hyperbola.
Here something is particularly emphasized by exaggeration.

the climax:
In the Klimax style figure, words or groups of words are strung together in several stages, which increase with each stage:
I read what I like; Trash novels, entertainment books, world literature.

18
Q

A

Stylistic devices and their meaning

Rhymes give a poem additional depth, as their use itself reveals something about the message of the poem.

With the help of the metaphor, you can make the statement easier to understand and emotionally accessible to the reader.

Personification is a stylistic device that makes a text livelier and thus helps to arouse the reader’s interest.

The rhetorical question as well as the alliteration are intended to draw the reader’s attention.
In addition, the alliteration is very easy to remember for the reader.
