Most common benign bone tumour, usually diagnosed in males <20 yrs. Presents with cartilage-capped bony projection on the external surface of a bone
Osteochondroma
‘Double bubble’ or ‘soap bubble’ appearance. Occurring most frequently in epiphyses of long bones
Giant cell tumour
Most common primary malignant bone tumour. Shows codman triangle and ‘sunburst pattern’ on X-ray
Osteosarcoma
Small, round blue cell tumour seen in children and adolescents. Causes severe pain and shows ‘onion skin’ appearance on x-ray
Ewsing’s sarcoma
Malignant tumour of cartilgae, most common in the axial skeleton and effects middle aged pts
Chondrosarcoma
