This is in the western central part of Niagara Peninsula.  It is away from the lake and sandwiched between the 3 VQA of Niagara Lakes tht are not within any other region (listed above).

NOTE:
-Do not confuse this with the Niagara Escarpment AVA in New York State!

Canada's newest; approved in 2007.  On the north-east shores of Lake Ontario (Prince Edward Island).

- This is the southernmost VQA in Canada

The region is largely defined by water, with Lake St Clair to the north, the Detroit River to the west, and Lake Erie to the south.

NOTE:
This VQA now contains the former VQA of Pelee Island (revoked in 2013).
