A
Cells with abnormal genetic material that are dividing uncontrollably.

What are most cancers named for the organ or type of cell in which they start?
A
- Caricoma - a cancer/epithelial cell
- Sarcoma - cancer of muscle, bone, cartilage and other connective tissue
- Leukemia - cancer of bone marrowl particularly, white blood cells
- Myeloma - a cancer of white blood cells that produce antibodies
- Lymphoma - a cancer of immune system cells

- Abnormal cells are removed
Radiation
- Abnormal cells are damaged with high energy radiation beams, affecting their DNA causing them to die
Chemotheraphy
- Abnormal cells are damaged with intake of chemical drugs
- Affects their ability to divide causing them to stop growing
