Flashcards in Cells Deck (19):
1

What are the 2 different organelles found in a plant cell

Cell wall and cytoplasm

2

What is the center of the cell called

The nucleus

3

Is the vacuole bigger in a plant cell or a animal cell

Plant cell

4

What does the mitochondrion look like like

It looks like a tic tac with squiggles on it

5

What protects the animal cell

The cell membrame and for the plant cell it has the cell memebrame and the cell wall

6

What is the difference between a rough endoplasmic reticulum between a normal one

The rough has ribosomes all over it while the normal one has none

7

What is the goo in a cell called

Cytoplasm

8

What does the mitochondrion do

It produces energy by taking the energy we get from food.

9

What do ribosomes on the endoplasmic reticulum do

The ribosomes make proteins and then pass it through the endoplasmic reticulum to the golgi body.

10

What does the golgi body do

The golgi body takes proteins produced by the ribosomes and covers them in membrame. After this the memebrame coated proteins are called vesicles and are like the mail system in the cell. They take nutrients and other things into, out of, and around the cell

11

What do vacuoles do

Vacuoles are temporary storage units that store waste.

12

What does the lysosome do

They lysosome stores recycle worn out organelles

13

What do the chloroplasts do

They trap sunlight and change it into chemical energy to help the plant grow.

14

What is the diference between a prokayotic cell and a eukaryotic cell

Prokayotic cells are not covered with membrames while eukaryotic are

15

What does the cocci, the baccilli, and the spirilla look like

Cocci looks like spheres, baccilli looks like rods, and spirilla looks like spirals

16

Is bacteria good

It can be good or bad

17

Are viruses alive

No they are not

18

What does a virus have insisde of it

Viruses only have dna inside of it. It doesn’t have any organelles

19

How does a virus work

It will link on to a host cell and will start to make virus making protien inside the cell. Once when the host cell is full
