Flashcards in Ch. 108 Field Comms Fundamentals Deck (10)
Define Single Channel?
-Radio transmission communicates on 1 frequency
Define Frequency Hopping?
-Helps reduce/eliminates threat of jamming and direction finding equipment
Ranges for transmission?
-LO (low power) 200m-400m
-M (medium power) 400m-5KM
-HI (high power) 5KM-10KM
-PA (power amplifier) vehicles only 10KM-40KM
Factors that affect radio transmission are?
-Location,sighting,weather, surrounding noise, enemy jamming, and mutual inference conditions
-use OE-254 to increase ranges data and voice
Steps to load single channel frequencies?
