function:
breathing - exhalation and inhalation by changing vertical dimensions of thoracic cavity

  • contraction: flatten and increase vertical dimensions of thoracic cavity-> inhalation
  • relaxation: moves superiouly, decrease vertical dimensions of thoracic cavcity -> exhalation
