  • Laporte was killed
  • gave demands but gov. Refused

  • Canada’s constitution was still a british act and was considering to make it their own
  • trudeau attempted to have the provincial premiers agree on the new constitution, the second time was successful
  • quebec left out
  • changes were:
    1. Power to change constitution from Britain to Canadian
    2. Changes made if all of Canada agreed
    3. Charter of rights and freedoms added
