Treated - bends easily and is waterproof.
Untreated - brittle and it cracks in the cold.
Explain how a chemist is able to separate a fossil from limestone without damaging it.
They put vinegar on the limestone. The limestone reacts quickly to the vinegar and it dissolves, but the fossil does not react quickly.
What is “combination reaction”?
It’s elements or compounds that come together to form new compounds.
What is “decomposition reaction”?
It’s when compounds split apart to form smaller compounds or elements.
What is “replacement reaction”?
It’s when parts of a molecule switch.
