What are converging and diverging lenses?

A

Converging- thicker at centre than outsides, bend light toward principle axis
Diverging- thinner at centre than at the outsides, bend light away from the principal axis

The object for lens 2 is the image from lens 1
The object for Lens 3 is the image from lens 2
Etc
