Characteristic of attention

Characteristic of NREM
Dreamless sleep, no eye movement, quiet sleep, divided into 4 stage; stage 1 can quietly regain conscious if needed
Characteristic of REM
Brain becomes more active, smaller and faster brain waves, dreams usually occur
