Q

Charecteristics of a reflex explained

A

Involuntary: occurs without conscious thought
Rapid: small # of neurons involved; Spinal chord makes choice from sensory info.
Stereotyped: occurs the same way, every time.
Stimulus: Required for any reflex; never spontaneous.
