What are the different types of worship in Christianity?

Liturgical worship - public worship in church that has set prayers and rituals in a liturgy
Non-liturgical worship - public worship in church without a liturgy, using extempore prayers
Informal worship - many Christians do this at home e.g saying grace before meals or celebrating Christian festivals
Private worship - when Christians can talk to God and pray in private

Why is it important to have different types of worship?

Public worship gives a sense of belonging to a community
Liturgical worship helps Christians worship God familiarly
Non-liturgical worship reflects people's moods so worship is genuine

Why is Christmas significant for Christians?

It is the celebration of the incarnation and the birth of Jesus and without the birth of Jesus, Christianity would not exist.
Celebrating the birth of Jesus unites Christians and remind them of the common faith.
Christmas shows the importance of the family.
