SE of Sulfasalazine?
haemolytic anaemia
(it is a DMARD + aminosalicylate)
SE of Bisphosphonate?
oesophagitis, osteonecrosis of jaw, atypical fractures
SE of Methotrexate?
gout, TERATOGENIC!!!
(also due to thiazide/loop diuretics)
SE of Rifampicin?
red urine/sweats

500mg IM adrenaline

IV labetalol / GTN
SE of Spironolactone?
gynaecomastia (in males)
What should be monitored with ACEi + Spironolactone?
U&Es (for high potassium)
SE of Adenosine?
impending sense of doom
SE of Cabergoline?
mouth ulcers
SE of Tamsulosin?
postural hypotension, retrograde ejaculation
Why would Propylthiouracil be prescribed?
to treat hyperthryoidism in a pregnant woman
(Carbimazole = normally 1st line but is TERATOGENIC!!!)
