A

Push the TDN button

Select ACCEPT after each number

Select week day and ACCEPT

What does the MODE Function do?

A

Allows you to disable Auto Announcements

Push MODE, select DISABLE audio function

A

Allows driver to view CCTV while train is stationary

Screen returns to default when train speed exceeds 8kmh

CCTV operates automatically. Vision is dubbed over every 7 days

A

It auto re-boots.

Takes 2 minutes

What can happen if you enter the wrong TDN?

A

Incorrect headboard and running conditions will be displayed

DDU will display “TDN not accepted”

If the DDU will not accept the correct TDN what do you do?

A

Enter the TDN into the DTRS directly and select the relevant headboard

Manual PA announcements will need to be made in this instance

When there is a defect in the DDU system what will be displayed?

A

Faults will be displayed in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. This code is given on the TMM when fault is logged

What happens when a passenger activates the PEI?

A

Audible tone
Displayed on DDU:
- ‘Passenger Emergency’
- Carriage number
- CCTVvision displayed

When should you answer a PEI call?

A

Only when safe to do so

How long does it take for a PEI call to time out?

90 seconds

How do you respond to a PEI call?

A

Press REPLY button on DDU

or

Pick up DDU microphone and press PTT

Answer: You have pressed the passenger emergency intercom, what is your emergency?

What do you do if there is no response from a passenger?

A

Use the PA system to try and Get a response:

“if you still require assistance please press PEI again”
