Name some advantages and disadvantages of gypsum?
A
ADVANTAGES
- Dimensionally accurate
- Low expansion (particularly densite)
- Can replicate 50 micrometres wide grooves
- Sufficient compressive strength
- Maintains dimensions in storage
DISADVANTAGES
- Does not withstand large TENSILE storage
- Surface can be abraded easily
- Brittle
