What is the diet for a pt w/Cystic Fibrosis:

High energy diet that's high in carbs & proteins (d/t the effort needed to expectorate secretions). Pt should also receive pancreatic enzymes along with a high-energy diet


Cystic Fibrosis Diet:

high protein/calorie, vitamin supplements (A, D, E, K), pancreatic enzymes


GERD diet:

Decrease total fat intake, avoid lrg meals/chocolate/caffeine; avoid eating 2 hrs before sleeping, maintain an upright posture 2 hrs after eating to allow stomach emptying
