Who does the EFAP provider, Shepell-fgi provide assistance to?

What is the goal of the EFAP Committee?

Provide leadership and support to ensure a strong and responsive support program for Service members and their families


All EFAP client information, including participation in the program cannot be shared without the expressed written
consent of the client with the exception of legal and ethical requirements, that being, the duty to protect and the duty to warn.
What are those situations?

 when records are subpoenaed by a court of law
 when there is suspicion that a child is or may be in need of protection
 when there is a need to intervene to prevent serious harm to an individual or others
 when there is a need to report a health professional where there is reason to believe that they are not
working in accordance with the standards of the Regulated Health Professions Act
