3. If 1. is not possible, consider the iPad as unserviceable at outstations.

Pilot iPad Unserviceable at Muscat (or lost or forgotten just before flight)

The following procedure applies

Stand by Pilot iPad shall be provided trough Flight Dispatch unit at IOCC or EFB Helpdesk for the flight. The Pilot iPad shall be up-to-date with all required documents.

One Pilot iPad Unserviceable at outstation (or lost or forgotten just before flight)

The following procedure applies

1. the remaining Pilot iPad functioning and up-to-date

2. Aircraft FMC NavDatabase is up-to-date.

Boy Pilot iPads Unserviceable at outstation (or lost or forgotten just before flight)

The following procedure applies

All mandatory documents, manuals and information required for the flight shall be made available to the operating crew.

One of the Pilot iPads inoperative in air (in-flight failure)

The following procedure applies

No change required. Flight shall be continued with serviceable iPad available on board.

Both Pilot iPad inoperative in air (in-flight failure)

The following procedure applies

Flight shall be continued with FMS Nav Data available onboard.

iPad mounting device inoperative

The following procedure applies

1. One mounting device must be operative and securely established on the PF side.

2. PM shall use EFB for reference only during non critical phases of flight and shall properly secure the iPad at takeoff and landing. (No use during critical phases of flight.)

3. In case both mounting devices are unserviceable and replacements are not available, then the procedure for both iPads inoperative shall be followed.

If an iPad electronic publication is is missing or out of date

The following procedure applies

A paper or electronic version for each publication missing from the library must be obtained before flight.

If changes in flight briefing package (EFF) after crew has left briefing area and no internet is available.

The following procedure applies

A paper copy of the flight briefing package shall be send to the aircraft. Crew shall be informed about the change. At outstations, Briefing Package shall be send to the Airport Manager / Ground Handler trough email or fax for further handover of printouts to the crew.
