EKG Flashcards
What is the order to follow when analyzing EKG?
Rate Rhythm Intervals (PR, QRS, QT) Axis P wave QRS wave ST interval
What are the normal intervals for
PR?
QRS?
QT?
PR < 0.12 or LBBB or RBBB
QT </= 1/2 of RR
What are the values for Normal Axis? Left Axis Deviation? Right Axis Deviation? Extreme Right Axis Deviation?
I+ and AVF+
I+ and AVF-
I- and AVF+
I- and AVF-
What are the leads evaluated for P wave?
II
V1
What are the values for the P wave for
Normal?
Right Atrial Enlargement?
Left Atrial Enlargement?
P wave
N: II < 1 mm high and LA < 1 mm down and wide
RAE: II >/= 3 mm high
RAE: V1 RA > 1 mm tall
LAE: II > 3 mm wide
LAE: V1 > 1 mm down and wide
What does the QRS evaluate?
LBBB RBBB LVH RVH MI anterior MI inferior
What leads indicate
LBBB?
RBBB?
QRS >/= 0.12
LBBB:
V6 + QRS and ST depression in leads with late positivity
V1 normal - QRS (+ST)
RBBB:
V1 RSR’ with broad R’ and ST depression in leads with late QRS positivity
V6 normal
Note: LBBB is similar to LVH, so further analysis necessary
