Flashcards in Electricity Deck (13):
What is static electricity?
A build up of charge.
What's the law of charge?
Opposite charges attract, like charges repel.
What is friction?
Physically moving electrons from on object to another.
What is induction?
Pushing or pulling electrons away with an already charged object.
What are the dangers of static electricity?
It can cause sparks, which can cause explosions.
What is current?
The flow of charge per second.
What is voltage?
The change in electrical energy per charge.
What is electricity?
The movement of charged particles.
What is voltage in a series circuit?
Voltage is shared between all the components in the circuit.
What is current in a series circuit?
Current is the same everywhere.
What is voltage in a parallel circuit?
Voltage is the same across each branch.
What is current in a parallel circuit?
Current is split between the loops.
