Engineering department is comprised of what five divisions?

Tell me about A-Div.

in charge all auxiliary equipment; ACE; Steering unit (mechanical only); Galley/mess-decks/laundry; anchor windlass; fire pumps; conveyors & trash plants related equipment. Potable water, low pressure air, hotel steam.

all electrical equipment and systems. Degaussing, SFMG’s and load centers.

all fire fighting related equipment. Systems: AFFF, Halon, Firemain, Repair Lockers. FLYING SQUAD, List Control.

responsible for the structural and piping repairs. Systems: CHT. FLYING SQUAD.

Tell me about EDO.

Engineering Duty Officer- manages tag out program and supervises departmental tasks. Also assumes damage control efforts in case of causality.

Engineering Watch Supervisor- monitors roving watchstanders and controls equipment line-ups

ACE#4- Part of the flight deck (Safety interlock) / Pri-Fly control suspend.

Boat and Airplane crane; used to remove small boats from the water and lift onto aircraft elevator
