A
  • upper and lower GI endoscopy with biopsy showing ulceration/colitis
  • Blood test: elevated PV, CRP, ESR

what treatment may be given to someone with enteropathic arthritis?

A
  • Anti TNF alpha (infliximab)
  • DMARDs (discuss with gastroenterologist)
  • normal analgesic e.g. paracetamol, co- codamol

no NSAIDs!!- can exacerbate IBD :((

A

no!! it’s serum negative, you will not find RF in someone with enteropathic arthritis
