What is stage one?

A

Trust vs mistrust (0-18 months)

to progress through this stage in the best way, the infant needs to develop the right balance of trust and mistrust

A

Autonomy vs shame or self doubt (18 months-3 years)
Successful attempts by infants to establish their independence as they become increasingly mobile and competent during these years contribute to a sense of autonomy

A

Initiative vs guilt (3-5 years)

children develop an increasing sense of their own power and now want to try new things and use their power

A

Industry vs inferiority (5-12 years)

Children have a desire to learn how things are made,how they work and what they do

A

Identity vs identity confusion (12-18)

This stage is about involving a sense of identity. Failure to resolve this crisis results in identity confusion

Intimacy vs isolation (18-25 years)

This stage cannot occur earlier due to having to have developed a true sense of identity before developing intimacy

Generativity vs stagnation (25-65 years)
When individuals look ahead to the latter half of their life and feel the need to still participate in the continuation of life

Integrity vs despair (65+ years)

Sense of integrity arises from being able to look back on ones life with satisfaction
