What is the difference between charity and justice
Charity is a temporary fix to a problem while justice is a permanent fix to the problem

As Christians we view and interact with the world based on what the bible says
What does the bible say about a partnership between evangelism and justice
It’s not a One or the other thing
Evangelism comes first but Christians and the church should both witness and serve

It was a law that allowed new territories to apply to become a state if they had 60,000, wrote a constitution, and outlawed slavery
What is the US constitution
A document that embodies the fundamental laws and principles by which the United States is governed

They wanted a unicameral congress (One house system). Every state gets equal votes. They were small states, so they didn’t want to much power to the big states,

They wanted a bicameral congress(2 house system)
Why do I hate social studies
Because it sucks

How long does a prez, rep, sen, and justice member serve in office, and how many terms can they serve
President: 4 years/2 terms Senator: 6 years/as many terms as they want Representative:j 2 years/ as many terms as they want Supreme Court Justice: for life unless they quit or get impeached
What are the three branches of government. Explain each one
There is the Executive branch, the Legislative branch, and the Judicial branch. The executive branch executes laws or enforces laws, the Legislative branch makes laws, and the judicial branch interprets laws and controls courts.
What is federalism, and why is it important
Any power not given to our government is given o the state government. It is important because it prevents the federal government from becoming to powerful
Ex: speed limit
What is checks and balances, why is it important
Powers one branch has over another branch of government. It is important because it keeps one system of government form becoming to powerful
What is separation of powers, why is it important
Gives different powers to different systems of government
It is important because who cares. Ex: congress makes laws but doesn’t enforce them
What is popular sovereignty
The government is controlled by the people and we can take or give power based on who we think is capable
