Question 1

To support our ongoing efforts to ensure fairness, diversity, equal opportunity, and transparency in City government, the Mayor hereby directs as follows:

1. Racial Equity Officers
2. Development of Racial Equity Action Plans
3. City of Los Angeles Racial Equity Task Force
4. Preparing for the Future with the repeal of Prop 209

Question 2

Racial Equity Action Plans:

Answer 2

• plans to attract, promote, or hire pool of qualified candidates
• Personnel dept to develop and maintain mandatory training on implicit bias
• No City Dept should differentiate an employee on the basis of their race, sex, color, ethnicity or national origin
• conduct outreach to certain underrepresented groups to promote diversity and equity

The Racial Equity Task Force is comprised of:

Each City Dept’s Racial Equity Officers and representatives designated by the Mayor’s office.
