I: Bases of middle and distal phalanges 2nd- 5th

Palmaris Longus

A: Tense palmar fascia, flex wrist

O: Common flexor tendon

I: Flexor retinaculum and palmar aponeurosis

N: C6- T1


Flexor Carpi Ulnaris

A: Flex & adduct wrist

O: Humeral: Common flexor tendon
Ulnar: Posterior surface of proximal 2/3 of ulna

I: Pisiform, hook of hamate and base of 5th metacarpal

N: C7- T1


Flexor Digitorum Supericialis

A: Flex 2nd- 5th fingers MCP & PIP & flex wrist

O: Common flexor tendon, ulnar collateral ligament, coronoid process of ulna, interosseous membrane and proximal shaft of radius

I: Sides of middle phalanges of 2nd- 5th fingers

N: C7- T1


Flexor Digitorum Profundus

A: Flex 2nd- 5th fingers MCP & PIP, assist flex wrist

O: Anterior and medial surfaces of proximal 3/4 of ulna

I: Bases of distal phalanges, palmar surface of 2nd- 5th fingers

N: C7- T1


Pronator Teres

A: Pronate forearm, assist flex elbow

O: Common flexor tendon

I: Middle of lateral surface of radius

N: C6- 7


Pronator Quadratus

A: Pronate the forearm

O: Medial, anterior surface of distal ulna

I: Lateral, anterior surface of distal radius

N: C7- T1



A: Supinate forearm

O: Lateral epicondyle of humerus, radial collateral ligament, annular ligament and supinator crest of ulna

I: Anterior, lateral surface of proximal 1/3 radial shaft

N: C5- 7
