Q

What happens in the parable of the woman taken in adultery, found in John 8:3-11?

A

Pharisees encourage the public stoning of an adulteress and ask Jesus, “This woman was caught in the act of adultery. Moses commanded us to stone such women, what do you say?” to which he says “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” Nobody stones her and he tells her she is not condemned but should leave her life of sin.
