Severe, protracted nausea and vomiting associated with weight loss of more than 5% of prepregnancy weight, dehydration and electrolyte imbalances

A
- Hyponatraemia
- Hypokalaemia
- Low serum urea
- Raised haematocrit
- Ketonuria with a metabolic hypochloraemic alkalosis
- Transaminase increased in 40% patients

- Cholecystitis
- Gastroenteritis
