the type of government that attempts to assert total control over the lives of its citizens

They make treaties with foreign governments and serve as commander in chief of the armed forces
Parliamentary Democracy
the leader of the government is not elected by the voters
Indirect democracy
this means when citizens elect votes or choose lawmakers/another word for it is representative democracy
