How do you recognise the infinitive?

A

It is simply the stem of the verb but with an’ειν’ added to the end.

How do you form the future tense?

A

Take the stem (verb in first person without the ‘ω’
Add a sigma to the stem.
Add the ending of the present tense according to who is doing the verb.

How do you form an imperative?

A

It is the stem of the verb with an added ‘ε’ for singular verbs and ‘ετε’ for plural imperatives. It is often accompanied by a noun in the vocative case.

A

Take the verb stem.
Add an ‘ε’ with smooth breathing in front.
Add the appropriate ending depending on the subject of the verb.
-ον, -ες, -ε(ν), -ομεν, -ετε, -ον

How do you form an adverb?

A

Take the stem of the adjective.
Change the ending to ‘ως’ instead of ‘ων’.
E.G. σοφως διδασκει.
