Q

Action

A

Causes the formation of nitric oxide a vasodilator that acts on vascular smooth muscle causing venous and arterial vasodilation which results in the decrease in myocardium demand for oxygen.

This is because of the reduction in preload which reduces ventricular filling and cardiac output. And the reduction of afterload which reduces the force the left ventricular must overcome to eject blood into arteries.
