What is a sand pouring ritual?
A ceremony sand, also known as a unity sand ceremony, is a symbolic ritual where two people pour sand from separate vessels of sand into a single vessel. The joined vessel represents the marriage of the couple’s hopes, dreams, and values, and their unity together.
What is handfasting?
How it’s done. It involves the wrapping of cord, ribbon or cloth around your hands as a visual demonstration of your union in marriage. The knot or knots that are then created symbolise the binding of your union
What is a rose ritual?
the couple each have a rose that they exchange to one another that will symbolize their first gift to each other as a married couple. The roses can then be dried and preserved. Roses can also be given to each of the couple’s parents or children as a gift and uniting the families together.
