Hypertrophy & Blocks Flashcards
(10 cards)
RVH criteria
Rt. Axis Deviation > 90°, AND
- R wave ≥ S wave in V1;
or
- R wave in V1 PLUS S wave in V6 ≥ 11mm
RA Hypertrophy criteria
Lead II P wave ≥ 2.5mm, usually pointed
LA Hypertrophy criteria
Lead V1 P wave has negative deflection ≥ 1mm
LVH criteria
Any of these:
- R wave in V5 or V6 > 27mm
- R wave in aVL ≥ 11mm
- R wave in V5 PLUS S wave in V1 ≥ 35mm
Bundle Branch for QRS time
Must be > .11 sec or no BBB!
LBBB criteria
QRS in V1 is negative (and > .11 sec)
If so, can’t diagnose LVH.
RBBB criteria
QRS in V1 is positive (and > .11 sec)
If so, can’t diagnose RVH.
Left Anterior Hemiblock criteria
Axis ≥ -40°
No inferior infarction, small Q wave Lead I
Right Anterior Hemiblock criteria
Axis ≥ +120°
No RVH, small Q wave in Lead II
Non-Specific Intraventricular Conduction Disturbance
QRS > .12 seconds
Doesn’t conform to LBBB or RBBB pattern
