What is identity?
the fact of being who or what a person or thing is.
What is a belief?
A notion, conviction, or impression that an individual or group accepts as true. often influenced by such things as culture, language, religion, gender, and worldview

A principle, philosophy, or code defining what is important or desirable
What is a worldview?
a collection of beliefs about life and the universe, the lens through which the world is viewed, or the overall perspective from which the world is held by an individual or group
What is a collective identity?
aspects of an individual’s identity that are held in common with a larger group.
What is a personal identity?
a collection of beliefs about life and the universe, the lens through which the world is viewed, or the overall perspective from which the world is held by an individual or group
What is an ideology?
a set of principles or ideas that explains your world and your place within it, which is based on certain assumptions and human nature and society and provides and interpretation of the past, an explanation of the present, and a vision for the future.

Rejects change, supports returning to old traditions

Believes in liberalism (change), is on the left wing

Supports change
What is a conservative and is it left wing or right wing?
Peoples opposed to or cautious about change, is on the right wing
Who are the most left-winged people?
Revolutionaries and Radicals
Who are the most right winged people?
Counter revolutionists and Reactionaries
What is a moderate?
Rejects extremism and violence, lie in the middle of the spectrum
What is an extremist?
an individual who has fanatical or immoderate views and beliefs
What is collectivism?
a social organization that values the needs of the group over the needs and freedoms of individuals
What is individualism?
a social organization that values the needs of people over the needs of the group
What are the two main approached to organizing a society?
Collectivism and Individualism
What is communism and does it support a collective society or a individualistic society?
all property should be owned by the state and all people should work for the state, represents an extreme interpretation of collectivism
