How did the geography of Ancient India Affect the development of the civilization?
Indus River- Flooding of the river deposited silt which made the area good for farming
Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean- The ocean and sea were good for trading on
Himalayas and Hindu Kush- The mountains isolate India from other cultures. They also block cold winds from the north which gives India a warm climate
Monsoons- supply water for irrigation but can cause devastating floods
Subcontinent- Separated India from the rest of of Asia; they were forced to develop their own culture
Deccan Plateau- was good for mining metals. Also some good farming land

In Buddhism, a state of bliss or the end of suffering caused by the cycle of rebirth.
Dharma
The Buddha’s teaching; divine laws.
