Q

What is remote sensing?

A

Uses satellites & collects info about earth.
Diff satellites collect diff geospatial data.
Satellites send signals to reciever stations which is turned to images.

Q

Brief History of GIS

A

took off in the 80’s :
Commercial GIS software
cost a lot

early mid 90’s :
graphical interface
affordable hardware and software.

00’s :
Internet and GUI’s
Download with weblinks = speedy

Future:
