Pitfall trap

A

It is used to collect small animals that move over the surface of the ground. It is made by digging a hole in the ground and placing a yogurt pot containing a few small leaves inside. 4 pebbles are arranged around the hole, and a piece of wood or plastic is placed on top to keep rain out of the pot. Animals may move between the pebbles and fall in.
