Endings of nouns usually “o” for masculine and “a” for feminine
-“e” more ambiguous
- usually -ione is feminine (una stazione)
- usually -iore is masculine (un signore)

Two forms of “the” in masculine form singular
lo: words beginning with s+ consonant (lo specchio), words with z (**almost like rules for indefinite uno but slightly more restricted)
l’: with vowels
il: everyone else

lo/l’—> gli: l’asciugamano—->gli asciugamani
Feminine definite articles super easy: just one form (la, l’=vowels) and le for plural
la lavatrice—>le lavatrici
