Sacroiliac joint

Composed of two parts:
- Ant synovial
- post syndesmosis b/w tuberosities of sacrum and ilium.

Ligaments:
- Ant/post sacroiliac lig
- inerosseus lig
- sacrotuberous lig (- sciatic notch-->sciatic foramen)
- sacrospinous lig ( sciatic notch to -->greater and lesser)

Pubic symphysis

- Symphysis
- fibrocartilaginous interpubic disc
Ligaments:
- Sup and inf pubic ligament

Hip joint

-Ball & socket
- b/w head of femur and acetabulum of hip
- Fibrous capsule around with synovial membrane inside.
- acetabular labrum enlarging the cavity+ acetabular fat
pad
- Hyaline cartilage over the articular srcf

Ligaments:
-Zona orbecularis
- ischio-femoral
- ilio-femoral
- pubofemoral
- Ligament of head of femur (containing a. for femur)

Bursae:
- iliopectineal
- obturator internus
- gluteus max,medius, minimus

Movements:
Transverse axis: felxion(0-130) extension (0-30)
saggital axix: abduction (0-45) adduction (0-40)
vertical axis: lat and med rotation (0-40)

Knee joint

- Trochoginglymus ( mainly hinge) ginglymus, but also rolling and w/ rotation ( torchoid)
- B/w medial and lat femoral and lat and med tibial
condyles
- b/w articular pattelar srfc of patella w/ femur.
Fibrous capsule w/ external fibrous and internal synovial.

Ligaments:
- Patellar lig
- Med/ Lat collateral lig
- oblique popliteallig
- arcuate popliteal lig
- Ant/ Post cruciate lig
ant: prevents hyperextension
post: prevents hyperflexion

Menisci: Role in shock absorption
-Fibrocartilage
- Lateral ( circular, smaller, more freely movable)
- Medial ( c-shaped, wider post than ant)

Bursae:
-suprapatellar
- sbucutaneous prepatellar
- subcutaneous infrapatellar
- deep infrapatellar
- anserine
- gastronemicus (med/lat)
- popliteus

Movements:
transverse axis: flexion(0-150)/extension0
vertical axis: lat/med rotation (knee must be flexed)
internal (5-10) external ( 0-40)

Superior tibiofibular joint

-Plane
- head of fibula w/ articular facet on tibia
Ligaments:
- Ant and post ligament of head of fibula
- Almost immobile

Inferior tibiofibular joint and syndesmosis

Tibiofibular syndesmossis:
- interosseus membrane
- anterior and posterior tibiofibular ligament
- slight movement when ankle joint moves

Ankle joint

-Hinge
- B/w trochlea of talus and distal end of tibia and fibula
- Ligaments
- Lateral collateral
- calcenofibular lig
- ant /post talofibular lig
- Medial collateral
- Ant/ post tibiotalar lig
- tibionavicular lig
- tibiocalcaneal lig
Movement:
Transverse axis: dorsiflexion (0-20) plantarflexion( 0-50)

Subtalar joint

- Pivot
- B/w post calcenael src and post srfc talus
ligaments:
- Med/lateral talocalcaneal
- post talocalcaneal
- interossieous talocalcaneal

Movements:
inversion(0-30) eversion (0-15)

Talocalcaneonavicular joint

-Plane except talonavicular( pivot)
- B/w med and ant articular srfc of calcaneus on talus w/ and and mid srfc on calcaneus.
- b/w head of talus and navicular bone.

LIgaments:
- Talonavicular lig
- plantar /dorsal calcenonavicular lig (spring lig)

Movements:
- inversion/ eversion 30/15

- Plane synovial
- Ant srfc of calcaenus w/ cuboid
ligaments:
Dorsal/palmar calcenocuboid lig

movements: inversion and eversion

- Plane type
- B/w cuneigorm bones

- Plantar/dorsal intercuneiform lig
