What is the contraindiciation of Ketmaine?
A
- Suspected Non-traumatic brain injury with severe hypertension (SBP > 180)

What is the MoA of Ketamine?
A
- Antagonist at NMDA receptors
- May interact with Muscarinic, Opioid and other receptors

What is the precaution for ketamine
A
- Exacerbate cardiovascular conditions (Uncontrolled hypertension, Stroke, recent MI, Carrdiac failure) due to effects on HR and BP

What are the Adverse effects of Ketamine?
A
CV: Hypertension, Tachycarida
CNS: Emergence reactions (Hallucinations, irrational behaviour); Increased Skeletal Muscle tone
Respiratory: Transient respiratory depression and apnoea
GI: Nausea and Vomiting
Other: Injection site pain, lacrimation, hypersalivation, diplopia, nystagmus
